First Aid and Ambulance Services An important activity carried out by the Irish Red Cross Society is its provision of First Aid and Ambulance services. We provide highly trained First Aiders and Ambulance Crews to event organisers nationwide, covering events such as Concerts, Equestrian Events, Sporting Competitions and Public Gatherings.
The Red Cross currently maintains a nationwide fleet of about 90 highly-equipped up to date ambulances, with skilled crews drawn from its volunteers. In order to be able to provide these services, the Red Cross provides its members with extensive ongoing training in the areas of First Aid, C.P.R. and Ambulance Skills, up to an Emergency Medical First Responder Level. We also are able to count on a number of healthcare professionals such as Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics/Emergency Medical Technicians, who are members.

We are one of a few branches who are lucky enough to have a 4x4 ambulance. Which puts us in a great position to be able to cover events over terrain which a normal ambulance would not be able travel on. Events such as Point to Points and mountain bike meetings. |
