Red Cross cover 73rd International Caravan & Camping Rally

Between the 18th and the 29th of July Kanturk Red Cross provided 24hr
cover for The 73rd International Caravan & Camping Rally which took place in
the Green Glens Complex in Milltreet. The event saw people of all ages
converge on Millstreet for a ten days. With an attendance of over 4,500
people it was a large event. With 24 nationalities from around the world
represented it was another major international event covered by our unit.
The rally organised several activities based on site and in Millstreet town
park. On the opening weekend there was a parade through the town despite the
torrential rain. Nightly entertainment took place in the Green Glens as well
as concerts performed by rally members from various countries.
